Vars

Vars is situated in the middle of the high Alps area, approximately 60 kilometers from Briancon. La Foret Blanche Ski Resort has 185 kilometers of ski trails, 112 slopes (17 green, 50 blue, 37 red and 8 black) and 55 ski lifts between 1.650 and 2.750 meters above sea level. For SNOWBOARD lovers, there is 550 m SURFLAND vertical slope, 2 kilometers long.

Facilities in the village: 15 ski equipment shops, various types of shops, 20 restaurants and cafes, 3 pubs, 2 disco clubs, cinema, 2 wellness centers, skating rink.

VARS

Due to the large area and in the case of good snow coverage, skiing and snowboarding becomes a real pleasure for freeride lovers.

Vars is part of the Foret Blanch ski area in the southern Alps. It is located at an altitude of 1850 m and is about 50 km from Briancon. The settlement is divided into 4 parts and accommodation is provided in Les Claux. The ski resort is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers/boarders, primarily because of the large number of easier and well-maintained trails, but beneath the surface lies perhaps one of the best freeride potential in this part of the French Alps. The La Foret Blanche ski resort has 185 km of ski slopes, 112 slopes (17 green, 50 blue, 37 red, and 8 black) and 55 ski lifts at heights between 1,650 and 2,750 meters. For skiers looking for an adrenaline rush, the well-known ski track where competitions take place is ideal. Boarders have at their disposal a well-organized Snow Park.
